Just so you know, all this talk about “fair chance hiring” and “ban the box” is all a run up to and all grease skidding for the real agenda and the real endgame here: Affirmative action for ex-cons. That’s the only possible course.
Of course, juding the strength of an economy by its producers is absurd. The purpose of a business is NOT to supply jobs. It’s to supply consumer goods. You’re explicitly saying “Fuck American consumers! What we need is MORE government-business collusion in order to keep income high for politically connected businessmen!
