And why not wait until next year’s presumably more work-centric Congress? What if Dems water down work requirement & then try to push it thru this year via reconciliation? Would Romney provide a Manchin-like 50th vote? Presumably not-but do you trust him? He’d get great press! https://t.co/2tk05UQmTT

Under Romney’s plan if you don’t earn anything you don’t get a “child check.” But if you do earn $ the benefit phases in immediately until $10,000 in earnings. So if you earn $5,000 you get half the check. This in keeping w/ U Chi study suggesting “phase in” a big work incentive. https://t.co/hmUkbKANJD

Looks like Sen. Romney has added a work test to his previously dole-like child benefit plan. Good for him. But have a thought for Senators Rubio and Lee whose plan for bigger child benefit checks never made Romney’s “no-work dole” mistake to begin with. https://t.co/5yDv9ILniT

Very useful analysis of whether it’s possible to block Trump from getting the 2024 nomination. Says probably not. One reason: None of challengers gets good ratings on Fox.
Except that one possible challenger does. Practically every night.
